Here are some reviews from previous visitors to Porlock Caravan Park
"Why bother with flight delays, sheep pens, lost luggage and jet lag. A rest away from it all in this beautifully kept site is the best holiday anyone can need. The facilities are kept spotless, the staff always helpful and friendly and the surrounding area just beautiful. There are so many superb places to walk to."

"Myself and partner arrived early we were back packing(camping), staff were very happy to get us checked in and showed us around, the site was fantastic, I can honestly say I've never been to a cleaner site, all staff very friendly and happy to share information about local walks etc, the showers again were spotless and the showers were lovely and powerful. Nice laundry and dishwashing facilities, and was pleasantly surprised by a herb garden for you to help yourself to for bbq's lovely :) will definitely stay here again when in Porlock."

We were looking for a caravan site on Exmoor for an autumn break and found this site online. As we have a large twin axle caravan I initially rang to see if they could accommodate a van of this size as I was aware the site is quite small.Sue the owner was very helpful and allocated us a pitch where we could easily park our caravan. On our arrival we were given a lovely warm welcome and were accompanied to our pitch and shown the facilities. The site is owned and run by Sue and her father ,Ray and assisted by the wardens Rosemary and John and other ground workers who tend and keep the site to an immaculate standard. They are all extremely friendly and nothing seems too much trouble .The site has lovely views of the wooded slopes where Exmoor meets the sea and we could see the sea from our pitch. The site is a very short walk from the village which is very pretty with independent gift shops and numerous eating places and pubs and again everyone seemed very friendly and helpful. Without doubt this is one of the nicest sites we have stayed at and certainly the cleanest and best kept. The shower and toilet area are absolutely immaculate and spotless, mirroring the site as a whole. My wife and I , accompanied by my Father in law ,all had a wonderful stay and have already booked for next autumn and will also hopefully be making another booking for the spring.Highly recommended and a real gem!

"The Dandy Owners Club used the Rally field. We rate this site highly. Wonder-full sea view. Very well kept site and facilities. Friendly and helpful owners and wardens."

"The Porlock Campsite lies nearby the village, just a stroll of 5 minutes. Pitches are fine, spacious. The campsite is surrounded by trees and shrubs which block the wind. The tent site is far more open but has a wonderful view over the sea. There is no direct path to the sea from the campsite. I have never seen (in 50 years) a campsite so clean as this one. So if that is important for you, this is the place to be. Specially the showers: lovely! Porlock is a nice village, not so touristic as Minehead, more tranquil. The staff are very friendly and helpful."

Brilliant Caravan and Campsite with great facilities, friend and helpful staff. Fantasticly located in the wonderfull village of Porlock, where it boasts a handfull of good pubs for both food or just drinks. A short walk or cycle from the beaches at Porlock Weir and Bossington Beach. Would recommend to anyone and we shall visit again!

"Hidden Gem: A lovely, relaxing site. Grounds and pitches are well maintained and the facilities are excellent & VERY clean. We took our caravan and had a hardstanding pitch which was well drained and fairly level. The reception staff are very friendly and welcoming AND the 2 gorgeous moggies might be there to greet you on arrival. A 5 minute walk takes you into Porlock, which has a couple of good pubs, tea rooms, shops & a butchers. We visited the "Top" Ship which serves local ales and good food (cooked to order). A short walk takes you to Porlock Weir where the "Bottom" Ship is located. Will definitely be going back and have already recommended it to fellow caravaners. Debbie and Jon, Reading"

Have just stayed here with our tourer for 6 nights, and can honestly say that this is the best park we have visited! The place is kept immaculately clean and tidy and provides a place of tranquility. I cannot agreed with the comments made by others about children not being welcome, our 2 daughters of 6 and 11 years, and our dog, certainly were as were other children staying at the same time, the sign issue is not obtrusive, its just a well run park, where the owners look after it brilliantly and wish it to be respected. After all its their property, who can blame them. Summarizing if you've stayed at the rest...now stay at the best!

Beautifully maintained and peaceful. Within easy reach of the local shops and ideally placed for visiting many attractions. Will certainly visit again. All facilities immaculate. Beautiful views of the sunsets from the campsite.

"Myself and my husband stayed here Sat 6th July. The site was immaculate. Fantastic views. The site is small so your pitch is pre-booked. You are never immediately looking at your neighbours as the cars are placed either side of your pitch. Plenty of room for us in our 3 man tent. No complaints for us. We will certainly return. My parents stay here on a regular basis again testament to the quality of the site."

"Considering this was my first time caravanning this site was perfect, really friendly welcome the site is clean and tidy and well set out and the shower and toilet facilities are first class and spotless. Definitely a 10/ 10 compared to the site I visited on the way home."

"Although we are no strangers to Porlock, having stayed here several times either in rented accommodation or B&B at the Top Ship, this was the first time we had brought our new caravan to Porlock. We came for a week in April and were absolutely amazed at the standards set on this site. Nothing was too much trouble for the site staff and no matter where we went the facilities were excellent - and everything worked!! We will definitely be going there again, several times throughout the summer."
